Early on in the course we were introduced to Augmented reality through the Virtiali-Tee - Augmented reality t shirt.
The lecturers demonstrated how using the app the t shirt can be scanned to show the different organs in a body and their layout in a human. Seeing it on an actual human made it very clear exactly where everything goes and there are a range of activities that could stem from this. The point the lecturers were trying to make here was how technology can be used to bring lessons to life. As children are very visual learners the app will be fascinating to them and engage them in biology, in a way that they may not have otherwise been.
As a result of seeing how effective technology can be in science, I will seek to include as much technology as I can. I was very impressed with the technology myself and I am sure that it will have similar impact when used with children at a primary school.
