Before completing the Primary PGCE at the University of Manchester, I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a year 2 classroom. My role in the class saw me teaching phonics in key stage one every day, running interventions and teaching targeted groups in the classroom.

I’m very keen on most sports and have previously run an after school football club for years 3 & 4 and 5 & 6, as well as setting up the school a football team in a local league. I have also coached children’s tennis in America.

I worked at an American summer camp in 2015 and therefore have 3 months experience working with children with special needs. I taught the children day to day activities including cooking, sports and speech & language.

I have a strong level of ICT literacy, having previously worked as an ICT Technician.

I’m a keen traveller and have used my summers to visit and work in many different parts of the world including China, Vietnam, America and Canada.

I am creative and enjoy drawing. Last year I took active roles in assisting the art teacher in the deliverance of his lessons.
